About

Downtown Trees Atlanta employs a number of methods to raise awareness for the need to combat the effects of deforestation. By working with local companies, we are able to discover the number of trees cut down annually and work diligently to replace each one, regardless of species. Programs designed to gain the public’s interest in conservation include the dedication of a sapling to a loved one, or The Junior Gardener’s Initiative, pairing children with a tree of their own to learn about the growth cycles of plant life. Other initiatives include promoting the benefits to health, wildlife, and the Earth via gardening expos, and documentaries. Additionally, we participate in the transplanting of mature trees and shrubbery when possible, to save them from being cut down and discarded. Downtown Trees Atlanta takes its mission very seriously, making the world a greener place, one sapling at a time.
