The University of Tennessee's Glocker Building trees, RIP.  These healthy trees were destroyed after the Fall 2004 session. In their place, plans show that there will be lots of flat concrete/brick hardscape and new small street trees.

These are the two black oaks that shaded the entrance on the Andy Holt Avenue side.  They likely pre-dated the building (1950).

A closer view of the two giant black oaks on Andy Holt.

Yet another view of the black oak furthest down Andy Holt.

The same view of the place where the black oaks once stood, 2005.  RIP.

A view of the Volunteer Blvd. entrance and the majestic magnolia that graced it.

On the other side of the Volunteer entrance, a huge maple helped keep visitors cool for decades.
